Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was the prevalent leader of the Indian freedom development in British-ruled India.
Gandhi was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize five times, but never received it. In the year of his death, 1948, the Prize was not awarded, the stated reason being that “there was no suitable living candidate” that year.
Mahatma Gandhi
Some of his inspirational thoughts:
- An eye for eye only ends up making the whole world blind.
- First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.
- The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.
- Nobody can hurt me without my permission.
- You must be the change you wish to see in the world.
- Live as if you were to die tomorrow; learn as if you were to live forever.
- Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.
- A man is but the product of his thoughts; what he thinks, he becomes.
- Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.
- Be the change you want to see in the world.
- There is not god higher than the Truth.
